We are delighted to welcome all our pupils and families to another exciting year of learning and personal growth at Marston Moreteyne VC School.

Year 5 is an important and exciting stage in the children’s primary school journey. Throughout the year, pupils will be encouraged to develop greater independence, take on new responsibilities and build the confidence and skills they will need as they prepare for their final year of primary school.

Our Topics This Year:

Autumn Term: Stargazers

Children will journey through space as they learn about the Solar System, the Moon and the wonders of the universe.

Spring Term: Pharaohs

Children will travel back in time to explore the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt, including its pharaohs, pyramids and beliefs.

Summer Term: Darwin’s Delights

Children will investigate evolution, adaptation and inheritance, inspired by the discoveries and remarkable journey of Charles Darwin.
